Designed to Love October 04, 2017 00:00
I have been so moved by the countless stories of ordinary people, selflessly helping to save others in the midst of the unimaginable horror and fear in Las Vegas. I heard one reporter comment on how refreshing it is to see that this is, “who we really are.” Is it? Yes! The true human spirit is divinely designed to LOVE…to help…to think of others. Unfortunately, it seems like takes tragedies for us to drop our divisive posture and set aside our opinions before we realize how THIS selfless, unbiased, ability to see one another as God see’s us, is even possible!
If it were not only a tragic day, but also every day, that we would look at those around us through the same lens as the first responders and others who came to the aid of the wounded at the concert, it would change the world we live in. If we can see others that need help, comfort, encouragement; direction, empathy, kindness…LOVE; then we can be there for them.
I Corinthians 13:2-3 says,
“I may understand all the secret things of God and have all knowledge, and I may have faith so great I can move mountains. But even with all these things, if I do not have LOVE then I am nothing. I may give away everything I have, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing if I do not have LOVE.”
This is the kind of LOVE we are talking about. Boundless, unconditional, unfathomable, amazing…eternal.
May the 59 lives taken and the hundreds battling unthinkable injuries NOT be in vain, but may they serve as an inspiration for us to reach out and LOVE people. I’ve said before, “let’s start a LOVE REVOLUTION” I hope hopefully these words never come across as a slogan or cliché, but rather, a call to build our lives on a foundation of love, NOT divisiveness, judgment or apathy.
May you be filled with peace, love and joy
and may you find a way to Love People today.
...sometimes change is a good thing September 14, 2017 00:00
We love the Fall. It’s the start of new beginnings, new schools, with new shoes and books/computers and backpacks. The green life of summer gives way to the orange, gold and red glow of Autumn. Everything feels new. Again. And somehow, the rhythm feels familiar. In a world where change may seem terrifying (hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, friends, families, our minds and decisions)…this change of seasons comes and offers us comfort…and we welcome it. Why?
Some things change. Some things don’t.
If you want to know more about the inspiration for the love we share, consider this:
It just might be the change you are looking for.
Speaking of changes, be sure to check out LPC's new collection called Etc. on our products page. There you'll find fun new items to wear and share love!
Ministries and Organizations Love People Supports June 28, 2017 14:13
The Epik project was founded in 2012 as a response to the horrific reality of people being bought and sold for sex against their will.
Since then, EPIK has become a national leader in the anti-trafficking movement. To date they have disrupted over 40,000 attempts by men intent on purchasing another human being for sex and are now poised to reach 100,000 in 2017.
What began in Portland has spread to cities across the country. They have done a lot with a little. Find out more and how you can help end the demand at www.epikproject.org .
One Life is a ministry of Westside Family Church dedicated to caring for orphans and the most vulnerable children in our global community. For the past 3 years we have sponsored a little girl in India named Lavanya Podili. She is in 10 years old, studying the 5th grade and lives at Peace Children's Home. It has been fun to get her pictures and letters over the years and learn more about her. She has consistently said that she dreams of being a doctor. You can learn more about One Life Child sponsorship at www.onelifechild.org .
Contributing to the boys and girls club started by the inspiration from my sister's mother-n- law Judy Eller who was a faithful prayer warrior. After she passed away the idea of using her vast collection of jewelry to make prayer boxes and giving back to the organization she was so very passionate about, seemed like a fitting tribute to her. The Boys and Girls club is an amazing organization that provides help with the physical and emotional needs as well as educational support, activities and opportunities for young people through after-school programs. It is a great place to give back. Their motto is, "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens." Our Love People Prayer Boxes are Altoid mint boxes that are transformed into a unique prayer tool for people to, let go of their worries, anxiety, hurts and fears. A place to write it down, let it go, and let God do the rest. They are each one of a kind creations and are currently only sold locally at By B! Boutique.

Sisterhood…it’s not solely a bond created by the family we are born into but can also be created through faith and friendship. In days of light and hope and joy…in moments of deep pain and struggle…we are there for one another. If distance separates us, it does not rob us of the sweet communion of our hearts and souls. There are, and will be some dark days, when we feel like God is so far away. But it is then, that we can think of our sisters and friends that God has provided in our lives and remember that He came to be with us. He is ~Emmanuel~ and He is near.
When we lift one another up and we both see Him, that He will never fail us. We will carry each other, with all our hopes, joys, fears and burdens to the Throne of Grace…
It is there, that we give thanks for sisters…
"I am not always with you the way I want to be but I will never leave your side."
ANCHORED December 09, 2015 13:12
Noun-any of various devices dropped by a chain, cable, or rope to the bottom of a body of water for preventing or restricting the motion of a vessel or other floating object, typically having broad, hooklike arms that bury themselves in the bottom to provide a firm hold.
Verb-to keep hold or be firmly fixed.
I am a water girl. I am drawn to anything that reminds me of sandy beaches, warm ocean breezes, dreamy sunsets and boats that venture out into the wide-open water. I especially love the image of an anchor. It not only reminds me of all things water but to me it symbolizes so much more.
Anchors are used to protect a vessel at night from drifting off course. It stabilizes a boat in a storm. When attached at the bow of a vessel, an anchor prevents it from turning broadside and being overwhelmed by the waves. The shape of an anchor is engineered specifically to hold a boat in place. They have broad, hook like arms that bury themselves in the sea floor and provide a firm hold.
Yesterday was yet another devastating shooting. My heart was filled with sadness over this newest tragedy. I asked myself, “Am I afraid?” I really cannot describe fully what happened next. In that distressed moment a steady and quiet peace came over me. Security and calmness wrapped around me like a warm blanket and I had this strong sense that I was going to be ok, that I don’t need to fear. That I have a hope that anchors my soul!
This experience was so profound that I sat down to write, to clarify my thoughts, to process all the tragedy of the days events, to make space in my soul for hope. The world we live in is deeply broken. You and I feel it in every aspect of life. Despite the challenges and pain, the Anchor of Hope, Christ Jesus, gives me courage to be brave because my hope is in Him. Christ has an enormous love for each of us and offers life and love that expands beyond our fragile and broken world. The peace I experienced earlier in the day was evidence of it.
Friends, I’m compelled to share this hope. When I think about an anchor, with it’s broad arms engineered to secure a hold, I think of the love of Christ and how He has this loving hold on me. Then, I think of you and me. We also can wrap love around others, refueling their lives with hope. Every day I tell my kids to let their light shine because they can make a difference. The Anchor of Hope tells me that I can make a difference too. Together you and I can create something good in our families, friends, school, work and communities. I call it a #LoveRevolution.
I’m very excited to introduce our new line we’ve appropriately named, “Anchored”. It’s created with the image and symbolism of an anchor. This new design is sure to inspire a deeper and stronger call to intentionally live a life of love. It also serves to remind us that there is an Anchor for our souls that will hold us firm and secure in life’s troubled waters.
Love People Clothing was born out of this deep desire to inspire each one of us to hold to the Anchor of Hope and make a difference.
“ We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” ~ Hebrews 6:19
Love People. It’s more than a brand. It’s a lifestyle. August 26, 2015 14:32What would this world be like if we just loved people? What impact could real LOVE have on a world in pain?
Bullying, family dysfunction, divorce, low self-esteem, addictions, sex trafficking, suicide and more are affecting lives more and more. Everyone is affected. I’ve been affected. But what can one person do? That’s where LOVE PEOPLE CLOTHING began. It’s about WEARING LOVE every day.
“Regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic all-purpose garment. Never be without it.” Colossians 3:14
I’m living proof LOVE CAN change EVERYTHING. Through the courage and soft-heartedness of others along with the Word of God, love entered into painful situations in my life that were filled with conflict. You might say this sounds so cliché, right? Wearing love isn’t easy and things don’t often change quickly. But real LOVE always leaves a mark and it forever changes you! It changed me.
LOVE PEOPLE CLOTHING exists to inspire others to WEAR LOVE everyday. It’s a choice we all can make. Whether at home, at work, at school or wherever life takes you, WEAR LOVE as a lifestyle. Choosing to WEAR LOVE sometimes won’t be easy but REAL love always hopes and never fails.
LOVE PEOPLE CLOTHING. Wear it to remind you. Wear it to share it. Most of all wear it to LOVE PEOPLE.
